YASMEEN, Key Designer with an infectious smile! Yasmeen is always on the lookout for new design prototypes which she can later scale up for mass production after customer reviews. Yasmeen aspires to set up her own boutique some day, creating a range of women’s clothing.
SHABNAM KHAN, Hunar fellow who renders all of Yasmin’s up-scaled designs. Shabnam is well known for her neat and clean sewing and cutting. Here she is with the Fiza Sling Bag. Shabnam aspires to earn a better monthly income that will ensure her a better quality of life
ARSHI, our embroidery whiz! When at work, she goes into a peaceful zen mode, coming up with amazing embroidery patterns. Arshi is a “art for art’s sake” person and only enjoys her work, irrespective of whether it pays or not.
RANA, a Hunar fellow never is all for exploring new designs. She works extensively on jute fabric and when left to herself, she designs new products like this beautiful tiffin bag. Rana aspires to have her own independent unit someday in her own locality.
SHABNAM BI, Hunar Fellow has an eye for detail. Shabnam loves bright colours and is rather critical of the subdued, earthy colours that we keep going back to! Here she is with the potli bag she has designed. Shabnam aspires to have a shop of her own someday, selling Bagh print suit material.
FIRDAUS – Another Hunar fellow besides sewing blouses expertly and training new comers is also doubles up as a counselor in our legal aid cell. Firdaus aspires to be a full time counselor in Parwaaz even as she guides the Hunar unit.
SAMREEN – Coordinator at Hunar. This 21 year old has exceptional management skills. She is incharge of accounts, marketing, team management and quality control – all of which she does smoothly. Samreen aspires to complete her class 12th and attend college regularly
Amreen, Volunteer at Hunar. She was the first coordinator of Hunar before Samreen took over completely. Amreen is now a first year student aspiring to study Social Work and add value to her work as a Feild Worker at Eka, Bhopal.
SAJANA, our design expert who volunteers at Hunar, especially in Lino Print and Design. Sajana is a Development Communication expert and does a lot of audio-visual related work. She is currently the Development Communication lead at Eka, Bhopal

FARAH & NIGHAT, ardent volunteers at Hunar. Always up for promotions, marketing and handling stalls. Here they are at an event organized by SBI Women’s Club explaining the Hunar unit’s work. Farah is a second year student of Commerce and Nighat is a full time social worker at Eka Bhopal. Both are students of a Community Media & Journalism Course.

ABDULLA, Artist and Designer. Besides being a Theatre Artist, Abdulla also works extensively on Jute Coir to come up with amazing products. He has a knack of creating artefacts from waste including by-products of the Hunar sewing unit. Abdulla aspires to create a free and independent platform for creative people.
SEEMA, Volunteer at Hunar looks after online promotion, marketing and sales of Hunar. Seema aspires to create more opportunities for women to explore their creative potential and become financially independent.
AKANKSHA & SACHIN – This cheerful duo volunteers quite a bit of their time at Hunar, promoting Hunar products, exploring new designs and in online management of the Hunar Website. Akanksha is a entrepreneur who often volunteers at the Baccha Rasoi set up in Eka Bhopal and aspires to set up her own Handmade store some day. Sachin is an journalist and a is Team Lead at the Development Communication web portal – Samvidhan Live.
